Summoning Focus

Prerequisite: You must have signed a summoning contract with one of the primary summoning beasts (Toad, Snake, Slug). You may also take levels in this class if you make a contract with the ninja cats or ninja hounds.

Hit Dice: 1d8

1st level:

Natural Charm. Starting at 1st level, you gain advantage on any ability check you make to persuade a creature you summon to do what you want.

Additionally, creatures you summon are more likely to be agreeable with you. A hostile creature becomes unfriendly, an unfriendly creature becomes neutral, a neutral creature becomes friendly, and a friendly creature becomes affectionate.

Summoning Techniques. Whenever you gain a level in this class, you learn a summoning jutsu of a rank available to you from the summoning jutsu list

2nd Level:

Follow Up. At 2nd level, when you take the attack action, one of your summons can immediately use their reaction to make a single attack or use one of its features requiring an action.

Shared Imbuement. At 2nd level, your summons attacks are considered magical for the purposes of overcoming resistances and immunities.

3rd Level:

What’s yours is mine. Starting at 3rd level, you share your power with the creatures you summon. When a creature is subjected to a saving throw caused by one of your summons, you can substitute your Summoning Jutsu save DC (8 + your proficiency bonus + your wisdom bonus) with the DC associated with your summon’s feature.

4th Level:

Ability Score Improvement. When you reach 4th Level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or you can increase two Ability Scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you can’t increase an ability score above 20 using this feature.

Share Jutsu. Starting at 4th level, whenever you cast a jutsu that targets only you, you can choose to have it affect one of your active summons as well.

5th Level:

Strength is Bond. At 5th level, you and your summons become one in the same.

  • When your summon is subjected to a saving throw, they gain advantage on their save if you are within their sight.

  • If you are subjected to an attack roll while your summon is within 5 feet of you, the summon can impose disadvantage on the attack roll. The summoned creature can do so once on each turn using no action.
