Boons
Ninja can come across incredible powers on their journeys. Sometimes these powers are given, some are taken, and some are found. The following boons can act as a reward for a player when they accomplish a goal, or they can be given as the narrative dictates. Each boon should be considered to be a Legendary item when determining its rarity.
Boon: First Hokage Cells
The 1st Hokage’s Cells have been implanted into you and your chakra network. The cells grant you a great deal of strength and durability. You gain the following benefits:
You gain 5 additional hit dice. Increase your hit points accordingly.
You increase your hit point maximum by 2 for every level you have attained. Whenever you gain a level thereafter, you gain an additional 2 hit points.
You gain the earth and water natures if you did not have them, and you gain access to the Wood Style jutsu list.
Regeneration. As a bonus action on your turn, you can expend a hit die and regain a number of hit points equal to the number you roll + your constitution modifier. If you lose a limb, you can replace it with a limb constructed out of the 1st Hokage's Cells.
Whenever you take a short rest, you regain a number of hit dice equal to your proficiency bonus.
The cells of the 1st Hokage are very versatile and can be used to fight away disease, restore youthfulness to a person, reduce the severe drain of particularly taxing abilities, and can be used to create limbs. It takes a rather skilled medical expert to utilize these cells to their full potential however.
Boon: Master of Swords
You have trained so thoroughly with swords that they have become an extension of your body. They are your trusted companions, your will manifest. This bond has forged your body just as your blades have been forged:
When you make a weapon attack with a sword, you can choose to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll. You can do so even if you already add your proficiency bonus to such rolls. You can use this feature three times and regain all uses when you take a short or long rest.
Whenever you roll damage with a melee weapon you are proficient in, you add a bonus to the damage equal to your proficiency bonus.
While wielding a sword in one or both hands, you reduce incoming damage you take by 4.
Boon: Chakra Fruit
By consuming a chakra fruit produced by a God tree, you gain an immense amplification in power. You gain the following benefits:
Your hit point maximum increases by 90.
Your chakra point maximum increases by 500.
You have advantage on saving throws against ninjutsu and genjutsu.
When you make an attack, ability check, or saving throw, you can roll 1d12 and add it to the total. You can choose to do this after you make your roll but before the outcome of the roll is determined. Once you use this feature, you must take a short or long rest before you can use it again.
Your movement speed increases by 30 feet.
You gain truesight out to 60 feet.
You are immune to all diseases and poisons, and you have advantage on Constitution saving throws.
You can use a bonus action to regain a number of hit points equal to half your hit point maximum. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
Choose one D, C, or B rank jutsu that you know that takes 1 action to cast. You can now cast that jutsu as a bonus action.
When you take damage from any source, you can reduce that damage to 0. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Boon: Six-Paths Chakra
When you receive Six-Paths chakra, it fundamentally changes you and your chakra network. You can begin using Six-Paths sage mode once you acquire the chakra if you have mastered a sage mode of a different type. You also gain the following benefits:
All of your existing chakra points are considered Six-Paths chakra, meaning any ninjutsu you cast that uses your chakra is considered Six-Paths enhanced for the purposes of overcoming resistances and immunities.
Your chakra point maximum increases by an amount equal to your level, and you gain an additional 1 chakra point for each level you gain thereafter.
Your martial arts attacks and taijutsu techniques deal an additional 5 points of damage.
Boon: True Sage
Your mastery of nature chakra is surpassed by none. There may be some perfect sages who believe they have a complete understanding of how nature chakra interacts with the world, but they’ve barely scratched the surface. Due to your mastery of Senjutsu, you gain the following benefits:
When you take 1 minute to enter your sage mode, you gain an additional 10 temporary chakra points.
Whenever you are subjected to an effect that forces you to make a strength, dexterity, or wisdom saving throw while you are in a sage mode, you can spend 1 of your temporary chakra points to re-roll the save. You must choose to do so before the result of the save is determined, but you can select either result.
You can communicate simple ideas and concepts to beasts. You can also understand beasts to a limited degree. You have advantage on Animal Handling checks.
Whenever you cast a jutsu from the Sage Mode list or whenever you enter a Sage Mode, you roll 1d4 and consult the following table:
1 Nature chakra ebbs and flows around you. Creatures of your choice within 10 feet of you lose or regain 1d4 chakra points. You can choose either option on an individual basis.
2 A restorative burst of chakra radiates out to a creature of your choice. A creature within 30 feet of you regains 3d10 + your wisdom modifier in hit points.
3 Potent and toxic nature chakra drains the life force of those around you. All creatures within a 20-foot radius sphere centered on you take 1d12 necrotic damage and you gain a number of temporary hit points equal to the total damage you deal.
4 You add 1d10 to the next attack roll, ability check, or saving throw you make.
