Feature: Shadow Jutsu
As a member of the Nara clan, you are privy to the knowledge of secret clan jutsu. You have access to the Nara clan jutsu list (detailed below), and you start with the Shadow Possession jutsu in addition to any other jutsu you know. Additionally, you can use your intelligence modifier in place of your wisdom modifier when determining your ninjutsu ability modifier, save DC, and attack modifier.
You have either the Fire, Lightning, or Earth nature.

Shadow Piercing

Range: 30 feet
Duration: Instantaneous
Chakra Point Cost: 1 point
You create a tendril of shadows that lashes out and attempts to strike an enemy. As an action, you target a creature within range. Make a ninjutsu attack roll. On a hit, you deal 2d6 points of piercing damage to the target.
This tendril can also be manipulated as a simple limb. It can grab a single object and interact with it. For example, the tendril can be used to place a paper bomb, pull a lever, open or close a door, and it can even be used to throw a kunai. When you attack with a kunai using the tendril, you make the attack roll using your ninjutsu attack modifier rather than your normal attack bonus, and you can throw it from a point the tendril can reach (up to 30 feet away from you).
Shadow Pinning

Casting Time: 1 Action (considered an attack)
Range: Self
Duration: 1 Round
Chakra Point Cost: 2 points
Requirement: Chakra Blade with the thrown property
You imbue your shadow technique in a throwable chakra blade. Make a ranged ninjutsu attack roll with the weapon. Your attack deals the weapon’s normal damage on a hit, but you add your ninjutsu ability modifier to the damage instead of your strength or dexterity.
The target of this attack must make a constitution saving throw whether the attack hits or misses. On a failure, a creature is considered grappled until the end of your next turn. This is considered an attack for the purposes of other features or traits you have.
Shadow Possession
C-Rank Ninjutsu
Casting Time: 1 Action
Range: 15 feet
Duration: Concentration, up to 5 Minutes
Chakra Point Cost: 2 points
You extend your shadow to a target attempting to paralyze them. Target a medium or smaller creature within range. That creature must make a strength saving throw. If they fail, they are considered incapacitated and grappled. Any movement you make is mirrored by them, including attacks. If you cast a jutsu, and they know it too, they can cast it as well. This jutsu lasts for 5 minutes, or for as long as you maintain concentration.
Shadow Rescue
C-Rank Ninjutsu
Casting Time: 1 Reaction which you take when a creature within range is targeted by an attack
Range: 15 feet
Duration: Instantaneous
Chakra Point Cost: 1 point
By creating a rapid tendril of shadow, you can pull an ally to safety. When an allied creature within range is targeted by an attack, you can use your reaction to pull them just out of reach from the attack. The attacker must make any attack roll against that creature with disadvantage until the end of the turn.

Shadow Stitching
B-Rank Ninjutsu

Range: 60 feet
Duration: Instantaneous
Chakra Point Cost: 3 points
You conjure 3 spear-like shadows. Each shadow stretches from you up to 60 feet away. Make a ninjutsu attack roll for each shadow. On a hit, a shadow deals 3d6 points of piercing damage. You can target the same creature with more than one shadow.
Spending More Chakra. You can spend more chakra points to strengthen this jutsu. For every additional chakra point you spend past the original cost, create an additional shadow. You can spend a maximum of 9 chakra points on this jutsu.
Shadow Strangle
B-Rank Ninjutsu
Casting Time: 1 Action
Range: 30 feet
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 Minute
Chakra Point Cost: 3 points
You wrap a target in a number of choking shadows. Select a target within range. That creature must make a strength saving throw. If they fail, they are considered incapacitated and restrained. While they are incapacited by this jutsu, you are considered grappled and restrained. At the start of the creature’s turns, it takes 4d8 bludgeoning damage as the shadows crush it. The jutsu lasts for 1 minute or until you lose concentration.

Radial Shadow Paralysis
A-Rank Ninjutsu
Casting Time: 1 Action
Range: Self (60-foot radius)
Duration: Concentration, up to 10 Minutes
Chakra Point Cost: 4 points
You release a mass of shadow across the ground. As an action, a 60 foot radius of shadow emanating from you runs across the ground. Any creature that is in that area must make a constitution saving throw against your ninjutsu save DC. On a failed save, a creature is considered incapacitated. While this jutsu is active, you are considered grappled and restrained. The jutsu lasts for 10 minutes or until you lose concentration.
Shadow Binding
A-Rank Ninjutsu
Casting Time: 1 Action
Range: 60 feet
Duration: Concentration, Up to 1 Minute
Chakra Point Cost: 4 points
Requirement: You must know the Shadow Stitching jutsu
Multiple spears of shadow pierce a creature and hold them in place. Select a large or smaller creature within range. They must make a strength saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes 10d8 piercing damage, and the target is restrained. They can repeat the save at the end of each of their turns to end the restrained condition. A creature takes half damage and is not restrained on a successful save.
