Amaterasu

The hottest flame known to all ninjutsu, the Amaterasu is a pure black flame that cannot be put out. It burns for 7 days and 7 nights.

The power of the Amaterasu resides in one eye, and is considered a Ninjutsu as well as a Dojutsu. As an action, you can spend 3 chakra points to target a creature or a point you can see up to 120 feet away from you.

If you target a creature, that creature can make a Dexterity saving throw against your Ninjutsu Save DC if they have a Dexterity score of 19 or higher. If they do not have a Dexterity score of 19 or higher, they automatically fail their saving throw. A creature that fails their save takes 3d10 points of Fire damage. A creature that succeeds on its save takes half damage instead. A creature that takes damage from this jutsu is set on fire. At the start of each of their turns, they take 1d6 Fire damage. This fire continues to burn for 7 days and 7 nights. Techniques that can absorb Ninjutsu can potentially absorb the flames, but the extent to which they can do so is reliant on the DM.

If you target a point with this jutsu, black flame springs into existence at that point. These flames expand outwards in a 10-foot radius centered on that point. Creatures in that area can make a Dexterity saving throw against your Ninjutsu Save DC if they have a Dexterity score of 19 or higher. If they do not have a Dexterity score of 19 or higher, they automatically fail their saving throw. A creature that fails their save takes 3d10 points of Fire damage. A creature that succeeds on its save takes half damage instead. A creature that takes damage from this jutsu is set on fire. At the start of each of their turns, they take 1d6 Fire damage. This fire continues to burn for 7 days and 7 nights on the selected point and on any creature that took damage from the jutsu. A creature that enters this area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there takes 1d10 fire damage and is set on fire, taking 1d6 fire damage at the start of each of their turns. Techniques that can absorb ninjutsu can potentially absorb the flames, but the extent to which they can do so is reliant on the DM.

The Fire damage caused by this jutsu ignores Resistances and treats Immunities as resistance.

Eye Damage

When you use Amaterasu, roll a d20. On a roll of 11 or higher, nothing else happens. On any other roll, your usage of this ability puts stress on your eye. The eye that you used takes 1 point of damage. If an eye reaches 5 points of damage in this way, it goes permanently blind.
